Sales and Business Development Associate - Climate Change and Sustainability

Job Description

Working for the Agasco and G13+ Group the Sales and Business Development Associate will identify clients and pitch climate reporting and mitigation services, as well as developing a network of carbon credit buyers. This position requires a solid understanding of climate change and sustainability reporting, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and develop relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess industry trends related to climate change and sustainability.
  • Analyse competitors and stay informed about emerging developments in climate reporting and carbon credit markets.

Develop Sales Strategies

  • Create and implement sales strategies to promote climate reporting services and carbon credits use to target businesses.
  • Design strategies to highlight the benefits of sustainability practices.

Sales Outreach

  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media and networking events.
  • Develop presentations and pitch documents to showcase the value of climate reporting services and the use of carbon credits.
  • Create customised proposals for clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Understand clients’ sustainability goals and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Effectively utilise CRM tools

Reporting and Analytics

  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends.


  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the environmental or sustainability sector.
  • Strong understanding of climate change issues, sustainability practices, and carbon credit mechanisms.
  • A passion for climate solutions and promoting responsible corporate sustainable practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
